Our fishing trip. We leave La Balise at 15:00 with rods, tackle and bait on board and fish the reef edge off Rivière Noire through the golden hours. Around 18:00 the lines come in, the sun drops behind the horizon, and the crew cooks what you caught right there on the boat: a live cooking dinner at anchor with Le Morne turning copper behind you.
Price
Rs 25,000 per boat on the visitor rate (2 guests included), Rs 25,000 per boat on the Mauritian resident rate (up to 4 guests included). Each additional guest Rs 1,000, maximum 8. Pay on arrival; free cancellation up to 48 h before departure.

- 15:00 Cast off, rods ready: Rods, tackle and bait on board. The skipper picks the spot by the day’s sea.
- 15:30 Fishing the golden hours: Three hours on the reef edge: trolling and bottom fishing, the crew baiting and landing with you.
- 18:00 Lines in, sunset on: Anchor off Tamarin as the sun drops and Le Morne turns copper.
- 18:30 Live cooking at anchor: Your catch cleaned and cooked in front of you. You fish. We cook. You enjoy.
- 20:00 Home under stars: Back to La Balise with the GoPro footage of the day.

What if we catch nothing?
It happens at sea. The crew carries fresh fish from the morning market so dinner is always on, and you still get the sunset.
Do we need experience?
No. The skipper sets the rods, shows you how and helps land every fish.
Can we keep the fish?
What we don’t cook is yours to take home, cleaned and on ice.
